Christmas and the New Year is always a time for family and friends to get together, so what better time to plan a Perth wedding especially if you have family interstate. Rihana and Shaun chose December 30 for their wedding. Rihana’s immediate family of six arrived from Tasmania just after Christmas and other relatives joined them soon after. So with the addition of bridesmaids and hairdresser/makeup artist and photographers, there was a full house on the warm Perth summer morning.

When we arrived to photograph Rihana and the bridesmaids, Dee from Illusions was styling the girls’ hair as well as creating the look for the day with the make up, the bouquets from Sweet Floral had arrived the bridal gown from Tuscany Bridal was hanging ready to be worn. The bridesmaids, Kerry-Ann and Emily worn fabulous black dresses with detailing around the neck.

We met Shaun and his two groomsmen, (his brothers Justen and Jordan) at The Free Reform Church in Southern River, the venue for the wedding ceremony. The guys worn three piece suits form Ferrari and despite the temperature coped well. A thoughtful touch was the afternoon tea provided by friends for the guests to enjoy once the ceremony was over. Once family photographs were taken we headed off with Riahana, Shaun and their bridal party for the photoshoot. They enjoyed the cool comfort of being driven in a Limo from A1 Prestige Limousine. We headed to the streets of Perth and finished up at Matilda Bay, the venue for their reception.

The function room at Matilda Bay Restaurant looked sensational, decorated in black and white with candelabras on the tables and of course the back drop of the river and boats is hard to beat.
