Jessica and Lucas were greeted with a traditional summers day in Perth for their wedding at the newly renovated Saint Mary’s Cathedral on Saturday, February 19th. We captured exclusive wedding photographs in the streets of Perth as well as in and around the grounds of the Cathedral.

Both Lucas and Jessica had put much time and effort into choosing venues and finishing touches to make their wedding day unique. Lucas made sure all the big items were taken care of with particular attention being paid to ensure they exchanged their vows at the  fabulous Saint Mary’s Cathedral and were able to celebrate at the “River View Room” at the Perth Convention Centre. Jessica ensured the finer points were taken care of, even down to trips to Sydney to find her exquisite bridal gown. We spent time with the two of them a few weeks prior to their wedding. We discussed timing for the day, making sure Jessica would be ready with her hair and make done in time for us to capture elegant, stylized, wedding portraits of her, her parents and the brides maids before they headed off to the Cathedral. Our meeting was also a good time to get Lucas warmed up to the idea of having photographs taken. Being somewhat camera shy we managed to allay his fears that the wedding photography would not be as painful as the dentist!

Lucas being a lover of fast cars arrived at the Cathedral in his brother Adam’s red Ferrari, needless to say his arrival sparked plenty of interest from the guests waiting outside the church. After the ceremony we captured some wonderful candid shots of family and friends as well as fabulous shots of Jessica and Lucas and their bridal party.

By the time we left them at the River View Room Jessica, Lucas, their family and friends were well on their way to celebrating the wedding day in great style with a party atmosphere!
